1996 240sx temperature HELP!!!!!

Recently i was driving my car and noticed that when accelerating my temp. gauge will drop down to bleow the C mark and when i shift it goes back to norm opperating tem. Anyone know what i should check first??

The gauge? lol

If you're worried about your temps, don't trust that garbage oem temp gauge. Get yourself a real water gauge.
