Hello all!
I'm not new to fixing cars but am new to fixing my newest addition a 1996 Nissan 240sx base 5 speed. The ecu is malfunctioning. It has power but my reader does not see it and it's not the only reader that does not see it. The numbers on the side of the ecu read CA A18_E27 G49. Does anyone know what is interchangeable and/or a suitable aftermarket replacement. I have read many threads here before posting looking for an answer so apologies if I missed something already posted.

If memory serves, any obd2(96-98) ecu should work, but an auto ecu will throw a check engine light in a manual car.(it will still run and drive just fine though) Search the nico classifieds you should be able to find one there.

Ill take a look at the ecus I have tomorrow. Not really sure how much, but I would get rid of them for pretty cheap. I can't do anything with them. I have the original out of my working 95 MT for sure. But I have 5 or 6 that were pulled from various 240s.

I would like the one that has CA on it. My email is [email protected]. Send me a price and also I can get you my address for shipping. I'm in the middle of the country so I'm assuming it will need to be shipped.

That price is fine with me. I can't use the pm system here yet. Do you want me to send my address to your paypal email address?

There is a little area you can put information when you send via paypal. You can stick it there or email it to me, that's a working email address.
