the drivers side window has burned out three brand new motors and i replaced the switch twice. now the motor in it is good but the window only works occasionally so i just leave it up so it doesnt get stuck down.i have searched and found people that have had a similar problem and said that it is an amplifier but i dont know where on the car it is located and i dont have an fsm. my father is a mechanic and he cant figure out whats wrong with it some one help me

Try follow the switch wiring, you're bound to find it.

i followed the wiring it goes into a box under the dash above the clutch im going to assume this is the amp but im not positive it doesnt seem like a short cause it doesnt blow fuses if it were shorting out wouldnt the fuse blow if you rock the window back and forth it will go down but it struggles but it goes up fine mostly
