1995 Stock Radio Problems

I have a 1995 Nissan Maxima....I turned on the car this morning and the radio is non-functional! I check all the fuses on in the fuse box....but not the one behind the radio...Should I just buy a new one or try the fuse on the back of the radio?? I NEED HELP! My car expert boyfriend left me! LOL
