Ok here there go.

1. I have a non SE 240sx and I am buying some fog lights without the wiring, just the lights and the brackets. Is it gonna be a problem to get wiring/installing it and is it pricy?

2. My car is at 154,000 miles and I was wondering how much longer do these cars last? I take really good care of it. I was thinking about saving up and buying a 350Z, in case this car only has 20,000 miles left in it but that would be monthly payments and my car is already paid off. So I was thinking about just making my bone stock car look nicer, in the long run will it be worth it? Or would I be throwing a lot of money into a car for no reason.

3. I cant find 95-96 headlights anywhere, mine are all yellowed and foggy and I want some new ones but I dont want to break my waller and get it at the dealer...any suggestions?

Well your first question is general enough that I can answer it. Why are you buying just the lights would be my first question, shouldn't the switches, relay come with it? It shouldn't be that hard to install, obviously like I mentioned you would need some wires, a switch, and relay.

2. You s14, depending on how well it's been taken care of should last you quite some time longer, possibly over 200k. no worries there. As far as the 350z, payments all depends once again on your down payment, and your credit rating (for interest). My advice, go to a bank and ask them what you'd qualify for.

3. go on ebay.

1) exactly waht he said... but you can also simply make the wiring kit your self with tstuff from autozone quite easily for maybe $5

2) those are very different cars...you shoudl decide exactly what you want out of a car. If you are on these forums then you probably have some idea (even though this is yoru first post) abotu all teh stuff that can be done to these cars... there are plenty of 240's going strong past 200k. If you take care of it I truly wouldn't sweat it.

3) check out my sig link for my car domain on page 2 or just simply go and get some 1000grit sand paper, wet sand the headlights then use some plastic polish/scrathc remover and/or some mothers mag/aluminum polish and the lights should turn out just fine (look at my pics b4 and after in cardomain)

Good luck.

1. I am a newbie on the boards and a newbie to auto stuff. I have no idea how to wire a cars fog lights. I'll try to do it and end up with the car flipped over and me pinned under it :) Anywho...you know a good spot to learn how to do this stuff? I searched this site but all the rewiring were for people with SE's with wires to work with...I am doing it from scratch and the reason I got the lights is I got 2 with the brackets for 90 bucks, good deal to me :).

2. I am keeping the 240 and maybe I'll convert it to an S15, no car payments frees up a lot of money.

3. Thanks for the advice on your page, will do.

$90 ??? dang, what kind of lights are they, they better be like piaa or something, if they are then you're really screwed if you didn't get the wires or switches because they have their own harness, I havn't tried to hook up piaas straight wiring. search google, you're bound to find something about wireing up the lights.

used KA's only cost like $3-400, so your car will last until you let it be claimed by rust.

alot of the times Nissans have the extra harnesses for the foglights taped up underneathmy Maxima GXE does not have fogs but it has the harnesses taped up right underneath incase I wanted them

all you have to figure out if then is to use the stock ligtstalk and relays or wire it up yourself

i just put aftermarket fogs on my s14, too easy wiring, comes with 2 fuses and a relay. only problem is i usually leave them on and kill my battery. you can tie the switch in with the headlights without a problem, its low-level.i have the fog harnesses, but no relay, and i cant trace the wires from there; its possible, time+money solves all.

Well I just got the damn lights in the mail after a month of threats after having to file a claim with EBAY, damn ebayers. Yeah I still dont know what the hell I am doing. I was talking to my friend online and he was saying to just splice the wires on my park lights and wire them into there but heres the problem....

I have the lights and the brackets to hold them in....it comes with a plug but I dont have anything to plug into the plugs b/c I dont have an SE model car...Since there is a plug do I just remove it? can I buy some wiring?

NOTICE!!!!! ANYONE WHO HAS A 240SX S14 WITH A BODY KIT THAT HAD FOG LIGHTS AND ARE NO LONGER USING THE WIRES OR PLUG THAT GO INTO YOUR FOG LIGHTS SELL THEM TO ME!!!!!!!! OH YEAH AND TO ALL YOU GEAR HEADS WHO WOULD LIKE TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF A SUCKER WHO DOESNT KNOW WHAT THE HELL IT TAKES TO WIRE FOG LIGHTS IF YOU WANT TO MAKE SOME QUICK MONEY IN TAMPA FL, HIT UP MY EMAIL AND TELL ME HOW MUCH IT WILL COST FOR YOU TO DO IT!!!!

i have a 96 base model and picked up a set of zenki fogs too.all you really need is a relay for the lights, dont do what your friend is saying. i spliced the trigger for the relay onto my parking lamps, then ran a constant 12v to the switch on the relay. from the other side of the switch another wire goin down to the fogs. toss a fuse in after the relay just to be safe if you want. this may sound kind of confusing, but works great for me. if you want a better explanation my AIM sn is skatanic28. good luck.

easy solution.... get some mag // aluminum wheel polish and get a clean rag.... apply a little bit on head lamp and just rub.... rub it until the oxidation comes off.... yeah that's hwat causes the headlamps to turn yellow and nasty.... but yeah really cheap solution and i'm in love with my headlamps all over again.... ohh yeah... make sure you don't get that stuff on your paint.... it kinda takes it off ......
