As the title says, I was driving into work this morning and due to the snow and nastyness, my windhield got wet and nasty, so i turned on the windshield wipers to clean them off and the Driver side windshield wiper decided to stop in the halfway down position. So i pull over and put it in the down position. thinking it may have some snow buildup around the base of the arm I cleaned it out. So I continue on my way and go to use them again but to my dismay and isgust the passenger side works and the drivers side tries to move but doesn't go anywhere. I need to get this fixed and fast because we are looking at a big rainstorm this Fridayand I really don't want to have to drive without the windshield wipers working because that would suck, is illegal, and is dangerous. Anyone know the solution to the problem. I don't think it's the motor because the PS works just fine. I noticed the other day that the DS wiper arm was a bit loose, is it just a matter of tighteniing down a nut or do I need to replace the linkage. Also how do i get to all of that stuff because the FSM doesn't explain how to get to it all.

I will also have this posted in the 240SX/Silvia Technical Forum

Tighten it down, Just turn the wipers off and set the wiper arm to where it looks straight then tighten the nut and recheck the positioning and make sure its not hitting anywhere.

I have an issue with this part.

I fixed it (so I thought) a month ago and they were working fine until the other night they just stopped midway. I pulled over, turned off the car and radio and turn the switch to the on position and could hear the motor running so it's the same linkage connection. I'm not really sure what hold them together and I just pushed them together last month. Is there some type of clip that I'm missing perhaps? I don't really feel like making a habit of this (especially considering they'll only go out when I really need them). Thanks in advance!
