Need Help with my automatic trans. It engage at high Rpm like 5000 or 4000 I gonna swap for a manual but I need like two months at least Don't know what to do

I would appreciate any helpThanks

when it does ingage does it shift properly throughout the other gears?

Nope it goes to 5000rpm again to engage I don't know if there is like an speed sensor in the trans or some kind of sensor to know when to engage
