1995 q45t ECU and reading codes, NEED HELP FOR A NOVICE

I found the RH panel took it off and all I see is a silver box flat against the side of the car, with a ton of wires going into it, I do not see where there are any places where you can turn on the car and get any codes, PLEASE ADVISE, I HAVE THE TIME TODAY AND ONLY TODAY TO FIX THIS

The ECU cannot be removed without removing the connector first. Remove the connector with a 10mm socket being careful that it backs out straight and then remove the 2 or 3 phillips screws holding the ECU in. Once it's out you'll need to reconnect to read the codes. The instructions should be on the back of the ECU but if not they can be found in the tech help section of Q45.org or here using the search function.
