Welcome to NICO.

You have a TON to learn about the active suspension, in an attempt to get it working again.
http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/Q45/1994_Q45/

That is a copy of the FSM (Factory service manual).
You'll need that.
Use the search function to find more out about the active suspension in the Q (button flashing on the right of the screen)

A 95' A suspension is cooked. There was a member that went by texsoil who produced some acutators that you could use to replace them for a reasonable price, but I haven't seen any action on that for a long time. If the car is in great shape and your going to keep it for awhile you should fix it, but if this is a high-mileage car that has other problems I would get ready to donate it to charity or sell for $500 bucks. Another option might be to use standard shocks which would be much cheaper.....some 1st Gen members might be able to tell you more.

Welcome to NICO. How long have you owned the car? Where are you located?

How many miles does it have?

You're in luck.. There is a guy in San Diego named Jerry Tucker that offers Q45a suspension service.

Q45 resources are on the page at the following link.

That is not around the corner but if I were you I'd give him a call. I have a great guy in LA called Z-Expert that works on lots of Q45's now, he's in Venice. I have sent a few other members to them for service, he for sure doesn't have an exchange program, but if you want to get rid of the Active suspension and replace with a standard one he can probablly do that for you. Ask for Richard and tell him i sent you.....but if your heart is set on the active, make plans for the day in San Diego and drop it off for a day while you go to Sea World or the San Diego Zoo while Jerry rebuilds them for you. While he's got the car you can do a 100k type of service and get him to do everything else fluids wise that might have been neglected (brakes, transmission, power steering, rear end, etc). See if you have paperwork for a 60k service and if they did the plugs, if not those are due too.
