sorry figured I would start a new thread sort of asked in another thread here. to keep it short:

got a 1995 w 237k miles, 2nd owner since 27k miles, original transmission original engine no rebuilds etc. daily driver. almost a cream puff for being a daily driver. was my dads car between 27k and 88k I got it w 88k on it in 2006.

thoughts on value and what to ask? I just can not imagine selling it for $1500 seems WRONG. I almost feel like the high mileage and no rebuilds makes it worth something extra? Or am I just crazy...

thanks!!

not sure if I am selling it depends if I like this new souped up Passat wagon I am getting....

I thought this was you: http://nh.craigslist.org/cto/3762854396.html

Honestly unless you can provide pictures and proof of hundreds or receipts of the work done to it I would not expect too much more than $1500.

If it was worth something extra, people would be willing to pay extra for it.

The fact that there is no Kelly Blue Book premium for high-mileage/no-rebuild vehicles should tell you something...

uuuugggg no say it aint so!

no premium price for my beloved chariot. this hurts. man o man.

can I at least feel good that it has no rebuilds with this mileage? no knock sensor issues etc.

literally brakes rotors calipers, one idler pulley, and one short in the ecm that was dealt with. so the funny thing about receipts is that...except for oil changes and brakes....I have done nothing to this car.

I do drive it like an old man I have always been afraid it may explode if I push it so there could be something to it...never ever took it past 4500rpm. call it the kid who was afraid to ruin his old mans car syndrome even at 37yrs old!

oh well...looks like $1500 if I do decide to sell it then. thanks for the input...

keep driving it and enjoying it... and as someone said in another thread - drive the heck out of it and it still won't blow up!
