Having owned a 1991 and a 1995 Q45, I can assure you that you will be happier with a 1991 ratio! It is one of the things I disliked going from a 1990-1993 series to a 1994-1996 series car - very perceptible!
Cost is nearly $750 (including labor) at a dealer. Might be less at some other places. Check http://www.everythinginfiniti.com for parts prices ...

i have a 90 Q a 92 Q and the 95 Q, the 92 which i have only had a week,dont have a rack in it at all, and the 95 is the doner car... i hve never swaped racks before so i was uncertain of the results.

.lol. is ok, my uncle told me the same thing about the rack, its not really a big tang with me anbout the steering as long as it steers and steers good. Thanks for the advise from everyone!!!
