1995 Q45 losing power while accelerating
Hey guys. Whenever press on the gas pedal my Q seems to lose pewer. I can also hear a popping sound from underneath the hood. What could be wrong?

When mine did that,it was fuel pump on its last leg.

Do you lose power at all RPMs, or just higher RPMs? If it's the latter, change the fuel filter. Though I'm not sure what explains the popping noise...

Well I found out that my cats were burned up. now it does it when my pedal is pressed half way.

If the cats are clogged that could be the issue. Do the cats visibly glow at operating temperature? If so, they're clogged.

Is that the only way to know if there bad? My mech. raced the hell out of my car in park,then said if my cats were bad he couldn't do that.
