Can I change the fuel pump module myself? Can I plug it in and go? I've already had a new pump installed.

You'll need to remove both pieces of the rear seat to get to the parcel shelf and remove it. Once the parcel shelf is removed you'll see 2 screws (bolts?) on the passenger side holding in the FPCU which is mounted on the underside of the parcel shelf. They may be covered with black insulation tape and difficult to locate if the FPCU has never been taken out.

Unfortunately Alora Duncan has not posted for almost two decades. It seems she succumbed to a sudden illness or just dropped out. Her posts and pictures were the best I have ever seen before YouTube became a thing. Her pictures are irreplaceable, unfortunately. With her absence and Dennis in a care facility, we are losing a lot of knowledge on maintaining these great cars.

Maxnix,

Thank you for the update. I followed the current directions and was able to replace my fuel pump. Great effort was put into these instructions. I did not have time to look at the solder joints on the control assembly, which I wanted to see the pics for, because of needing to get car running to go to work. Had to order pump. It came from Autozone online. 2 day wait. Perfect match. Best Regards, Joe G
