1995 Q45 drivers window stopped working

My 95 Q drivers window has been slowing down lately and the other morning while it was 15 freaking degrees out side it decided not to completely roll up. After some pushing on the glass I got it up to within 3 inches of closing and duct taped it closed for a 200 mile road trip home. I'm going to take the door panel off and lube everything to see if this helps. I t acts like it wants to move but is stuck or the motor has died. If I have to replace the motor do you have to replace the regulator as well. What year models are the motors and regulators compatable with.

Check a junkyard near you. There's always SOME good parts on most discarded Q's.

Why replace junk for junk? I would recommend Infiniti of Scottsdale and just get a new OEM one. I will be getting a new one for my passenger window soon and if I am going to go through the trouble to rip it apart than I am for dam sure going to make sure that it is going to stay fixed....just my opinion

its probably not the motor, its probably the regulator. You're lucky that it went back up all the way, when mine did that i tried to help it up, and THUNK down it went into the door.

Check here and see if anyone has a regulator for sale. Greg (AZhitman) had a few new ones for sale if he hasnt sold them already.

What year models fit when I'm looking for one for a 95 model. I thought if the regulater went the window would fall down in the the track. The motor just seems week.

ive never heard of a motor going out on a Q... Normally the regulators just get really stiff and it causes the motor to work really hard...

Im pretty sure its 90-96 is compatible even though the parts book has a few different part numbers. Someone else might be able to confirm this for you. I bet Joe would know for sure.
