have a '95 Pathfinder where the Temp Gauge doesn't work, have replaced Temp Sender, done the ohms test on the single wire back to the gauge. can get the needle to move when running the 'B' log to ground, but gauge still doesn't work.
Second problem is with the Engine Thermal Signal from the sender to the ECM under the passenger seat. did a ohms check on the 2 wires, and all check good. still getting a slight backfire through the exhaust when decelerating. next step is to swap-out the ECM. all suggestions welcomed.

Hi Dragster. Thanks for joining and welcome to NICO Club!

1995 is a good year. No OBD2 smog requirements but with all the OBD2 diagnoses available.

What exactly is/are the issue/s with your pathy and how are you proceeding? A little more detail would help with um, helping. ;) Have you found our access to the FSM? If not, here's a link:

Each link on there is to a specific chapter. The FWD chapter is the foreward with the table of contents. You can even save the target to your device to have access when offline.

Thanks for the welcome centralcoaster33. Check out my org post above for my issues with my 95 pathy. I'm going to remove the 2 temp senders from the top water outlet, make sure there's not teflon tape, and reinstall since both units new. I'll see if that helps.
