Replacing the water pump requires removing the timing chain. I wouldn't recommend tackling a job like this unless you have the tools/time/experience to do so. If not, I'd suggest taking it to a shop.

I suggest downloading the FSM, look here, g20Phat or Nissanforums. Also try a search in the appropriate car forum.Read what is entailed and what special tools you might need, and then you will be prepared to go ahead.Good Luck.

water pump on the 2.4 is belt drive not chain driven. its a bit complicated to sneak it out past the "frame", but could be done in a driveway

please confirm your chassis code for an 'ultima'if it's a U13, then 240 drift is correct. you will, however, need to remove the right side 'motor mount' to get proper access.i'd also recommend changing the alternator/ power steering idler pulley (it's driven by the same belt). the access to that is fairly good also after removing the mount.

right on 3qjay, the p/s idler pulley always growls. and while the mount is out check it for failures as the are common for breaking.

the 95 altima not ultima is actually a L30 chassis code
