Hello, all i have a 1995 maxima. I took it in to the shop yesterday and the mechanic said i need rear pads. I don't want to pay the outrageous price so i decided to try it on my own. I got it all off but can't seem to get the rear piston to go back in with a C clamp. Is there a special screw or something i have to undo? I loosened the bleeder bolt and just a little bit of fluid came out. Or am i just screwed and the pistons are locked up. Thanks for any help!!!

The piston rotates as it moves inward. They can be a real pain, but it'll go if you keep playing with it.

I don't recall if it's clockwise or counterclockwise, sorry. It only rotates a little bit, but it won't go in without turning.

if youre pushing back in, then clockwise, as it you were tightening a screw
