1995 NISSAN MAXIMA-AIRBAG LIGHT

Does anybody know how to turn off this light on the dash?

I was working underneath by the radio and didnt want to setoff the airbag so I unplugged the connector in the steeringwheel compartment. I tried disconnecting the battery andhitting the button by the door controlling the light swith 5times but it still continues to flash. its called the SRS system.

Alright guys! I read the articles in the technical section andI got the light to go off during lunch! I used both techarticles to get it to go off.

Per Tech Article: "How to reset SRS (air bag) light;My light was blinking 1/2 sec on and 1/2 off. I turned theignition switch on (engine off) and pressed the door button5 times. This change the blinking time to 2 seconds off and three seconds on.

Make sure to proceed as indicated and even apply the procedure a second time. Keep the driver door open .Turn on the ignition .press 5 times the door button within 7 secondsturn of the ignitionclose the door restart ... it should be OK I did it on my maxima with success.

What is the door button? Door "Lock" button?

Hi

It is not the lock button . It is button which detects the door is close or open . When door is opened , you see on the lateral body a rubber cover containing this button. Hope you see what I mean . Good luck
