Hey everyone whats going on? I have a question, I need to do my sway bar bushings & upper ball joints on my front end of my truck. I have already did my lower ball joints, drag link assembly, inner & outer tie rod ends, I just picked up my sway bar bushings today. The bushings are all dry rotted on it now!1 Will that still cause the truck to have a slight pull to it on the road while i'm driving it, even after completing all of the other work i had done to it last week, Plus i had the front end aligned and new tires also put on it last week. Does the sway bar bushings being bad cause the front end to be pulling a little if they are shot and dry rotted? When i do the sway bar bushings on it does the truck have to be still jacked up & the wheels to be taken off of it to do the sway bar bushings? I just picked up heavy duty Moog's and they come as a kit per side!! Or can i do them with the truck on the ground with the wheels on it and just unbolt them & reinstall the new bushings? I need to my upper ball joints also, but dont reall have the funds right now to pick them up yet!! Should i wait to do my sway bar bushing's & upper ball joints together as a package, or just do my sway bar bushing's now & ball joints later?? Once again can i put the new bushing's on without jacking the truck up & taking the wheels off?? If anyone can respond Please Let Me Know. Thanks Everyone!!

The sway bar shouldn't have any bearing on whether the truck steers straight or not, it's only job is to limit body lean while turning. You say you had the truck aligned, did they give you a print out of the alignment numbers to look over? If they did let's see them. If not I would go back and tell them to align it again because it isn't right.

No they didnt give a print out sheet, but they weren't gone to align the front end because I didn't finish doing the other repairs on the front end, still got to do my upper ball joints & sway bar bushings!! I needed the front end aligned when I did the other work on the front end so I can drive the truck without chewing my newer tires I had them put on!! I have 20" Structure after market rims also on the truck, not stock!! I told them to align the front end anyway and they told me my upper ball joints & sway bar bushings needed to be replaced & I told them I know that but I couldn't afford all the parts on the front end at 1 shot , so I'm doing my front end repairs in segments!! Little at a time.

You probably already know this but in order to properly align a vehicle all the steering components must be tight and within manufacturers tolerances. If your upper BJs are hosed that will mess with the alignment in many ways. Get the BJs in, make sure all the linkage is good and tight then go have it aligned.
