ok my car has obd2 on the passenger side under the clove compartment. It also has a dlc connecter (obd1?) on top of the fuse panel under the driver side .What kind of scanner tool can i use to get the code from the ecm?Mostly all i see are for obd2 and i have done that one already but i want to do it on the other gray connector.

thanks :icesangel

why do you want to use the other connector? Same thing? Anywayz, I beleive only nissan dealerships will have that computer for the "other connector". But for the OBDII in the glove compartment, you use a generic scanning tool.

reason is cuss i checked the obd2 connector got code p1605 does not tell me much cuss i have continuity between the a/t control unit and ecm.So i have been told that i might want to check the other connector and see if i get other error codes that can determin my problem.

You could always pull the ECU out and read the codes, then look them up on here. That's what I did since I didn't have acess to a scanner at the time.
