Ok I got some more engine probs. Since the dist. thing was fixed It has been running good since. Now the water pump went out the starter and the freakin EGR temp sensor. After all that its still running chitty. Ok its all under 2000rpms and only when it has a load on the engine ( like in gear). When Its in gear and I am stopped the rpms drop then go back up then drop again until it eventually dies. When I take off kinda fast it acts like it dont wanna go, but when I give it gas just a little bit at a time and get above 2000rpms its good. When its in park or nuetral(no load) I can rev easily and it idles with no problem. But the only thing is its idling a little higher than normal about 1000rpm(no load in park). Did a self diognistic no trouble codes (55). I am thinking its either a vacumm prob. or a fuel issue. Maybe the pressure regulator?? Like I said its only under a load(like a vacumm prob.) and its like its running outta gas. Its not a hard stutter like it was a spark issue, but like its outta gas. Again when its in park or nuetral it revs easily with no hesitation. And above 2000rpms there is no problems, except its maybe a little sluggish takes a little longer than normal to reach 50 55 60 65...... Got any clues??

Hook up a fuel pressure gauge between the filter and the injector rail. Rig it up so you can see it while driving. See if the pressure is falling off under load. If so could be plugged fuel filter or weak fuel pump. If that checks ok hook up a vaccum gauge so you can see it and observe vaccum readings under heavy load. Should be down near zero with the throttle wide open. If it states building vaccum when its bogging could be a restriction in your exhuast.

Got it figured out. My EGR temp sensor went out a few weeks ago, well not knowing exactly what to look for I pulled the IACV selanoid off. When I did the spring and plunger inside fell out and I didnt know it. The other day I was checking over the engine looking for anything that might be causing the prob. and found the plunger on top of the transmission..I had no clue what it was until I looked through the FSm and luckily run across the picture of it. Went to a junk yard and found the spring off an older 240. I put it on and it still was doing it until I got some miles on it after getting on the interstate. Hasnt done it since, so far but Ill see. If I wouldnt have found that I never would have known what it was talk about dumb luck.. Problem solved(I think)

Did you also repace your EGR tempsensor or just wire in a 100k ohm Resistor?

I'm curious because have a code 35 and already bought the sensor at Nissan ($118 list), and to replace it I can't find a wrench or socket to fit into the intake runner gap to remove the existing one, can you use a crow foot wrench on an extension or do you need a specialty socket that has a cutout or slit for sensor wiring harness (like O2 sensor Sockets) so that you can reinstall the new one the same way.

I can't find any info on sensor the replacement in the EC section of the FSM, just how to diagnos the error code and check the wiring to the sensor.

EDIT- done installed new EGR temp sensor, but I'm curious the old sensor appeared to still work when I measured the resistance with a multimeter and heated the probe tip slightly using a heat gun, resistance increased as it cooled the resistance decreased.

It was really dirty how ever. What is the best way to clean the EGR and the Intake/throttle body without to much dissembly. Is there a cleaning agent like carb cleaner that is safe somewhat eco-friendly that can be introduced to the intake?

UPDATE!! Still having the problem...dangit...I just somehow got a wrench in there and turned a little at a time. Really my girlfriend did it cause shes got little hands and could fit them further. Sorry did read all the way...

The EGR and Throttle body really need to be taken off to clean good. The EGR didnt need much cleaning once I took mine off, but I replaced it n e way. If you wanna know how to take it all apart i tell ya.
