Heat-related starting problem can get complicated. As for vapor lock, it's more common in the older fuel delivery system (engine driven fuel pump and carburetor) but is rare on newer ones (tank-mounted fuel pump and fuel injectors)..So the problem can be - electrical, fuel-air, ignition or related components and controllers
Let's do the electrical first:-Check battery voltage (must be >12.5VDC with engine off and >13.8VDC with engine running)-Disconnect the battery connectors and clean them together with the battery poles. If available, spray Battery Terminal Protectant. Reconnect battery and ensure connections are tight.-Check the condition and security of the Fusible Link (Starting/Ignition) usually located in a fuse box besides the battery.Locate the ground wires, clean them, apply dielectric grease then reconnect.-Check the connections at the back of the Starter Solenoid. Make sure they are clean and tight.-Check/clean the single-wire connector to the starter solenoid. Use contact cleaner. if available.
Please indicate if you have manual or automatic transmission. After doing the actions above, please let us know if starting problem still persists.
