1995 Maxima will not run past 2000 RPM's....

I have a 1995 Nissan Maxima, it will not allow me to run it past 2000 rpm's. Before I start replacing parts, I did put in a new Fuel Filter. Before this happened. My Raditor blew, I assumed that because it wouldnt run higher than 2000 rpm's, that it was some kind of safety feature. But, after I replaced the Rad, I still have this issue.

Any help? for the new guy?

Bad Mass air flow.

Was this a sudden thing that came on? When my MAF broke, theengine wouldn't rev up very high and it was very tough to keeprunning without giving it gas. Hard to start too. The problem cameon very quickly.

By the way the MAF is very accessible and you should be able tocheck it with a multimeter. Some people have had luck sprayingit down with MAF cleaner but it is so sensitive I wouldnt do it exceptas a last ditch effort.
