I have a 1995 Maxima with the factory upgraded Bose system. The CD player doesn't work, the LED panel showing the radio frequency doesn't work and most of the button lights are burned out. I've seen from online searches:
1) that the system is a major problem to remove,
2) that there's an online store that can apprently fix them (and it's not cheap and how long before it's broken again), and
3) that the system includes stand-alone amplifiers at certain speakers making just replacing the Bose unit a problem.
Is there a a modern stereo/CD player that I could replace my old Bose system with that:
1) would simply connect to my existing wiring and match the stand-alone amplifiers that are on some of the speakers,
2) match the speaker impedence,
3) be the same physical size so no custom work would be necessary,
4) come with the proper connectors/adapters for easy wiring, and
5) work with my automatic antenna like my Bose does so that when I turn on & off the radio, the antenna automatically goes up & down?
Any comments are appreciated. Thank you very much in advance.
