Am currently running Duralast (Autozone) pads on stockcalipers. My rear brakes are now howling. Only 3K on thepads. Front Duralasts are fine.

I picked up OEM Nissan pads ($75.00)yesterday and will put themon Saturday.

I hear a lot of talk about Brembo. Can you get those padsfor the same price as OEM?

Any recommendations?

If I'm not mistaken, the Bremo brake setup is like $3000.

Larger rotors, larger calipers and pads.

I like Hawk HPS pads, but they eat stock rotors. You'd have to upgrade the rotors to something a little more durable like the Powerslots.

Full setup cost me around $600 on ebay from Sportztrailers (SP?)

I highly recommend the Hawk HPS. I ran them with stock rotors and had no problems at all. I noticed right away, better stopping power, and after a few weeks, I noticed about 1/10 of the brake dust that the stock pads blew out.

When using stock pads, be sure to use the OEM pad attachments (metal clips), they will help keep noise down.

The stock pads are working fine. I dont know why the Duralastpads in the rear didnt hold. The only thing I can think of is theraised dot on the back of the OEM pad is a little taller so maybethe piston in the caliper could grab and hold it better.

Haynes does not address making sure the piston caliper grooveis on top of the brake pad dot before tightening the caliper
