1995 KA24DE Timing problems

I am stabbing the distributor on this car with the marks on the distributor and crank pulley as shown in the FSM. The car refuses to start...but has spark and fuel. So I pulled the cam cover and this is where the timing marks are:



Versus the FSM image which shows them both oriented further counterclockwise. And the cam keyways do seem correct compared to the picture:



Do these marks look off to anyone?

Got it started, the distributor was going in off by a tooth.

Amazing how if you follow the Nissan line drawings EXACTLY, things work right.

Looks right, that is with the crank at tdc correct?
