I have a 95 240sx that i just installed a gt28 turbo kit from SSAC and everything is fine but when i floor it or when i get to 5-6 psi the car feels like it hits a wall!Im running stock ECU and wastegate set to 8psi,When im not flooring like a half i can get to 4-5psi and after that it has no power and backs down RPMs.I still have the EGR and the pipe going to maifold was cut and is still open,I checked all the intake pipes and i don't see any leaks and it runs fine when not in boost.Thank you for any help.

No mention of tune? Nothing running it except stock ECU?

Please give more info on your setup. it sounds like you are doing nothing for fuel or timing control. If this is the case then you are going to destroy your motor very fast...if you have not done so already.

^bingo. Motor will be toast ASAP if boosting without anything tuned, at least would need a FMU and some base timing adjusted. But you are playing with fire right now.

First off, do something about the fuel system. A FMU (rising rate fuel pressure regulator) will be sufficient for your boost level. Its relatively cheap. The stock injectors are likely to be dead lean at 4-5 psi. 8 psi is just asking for catastrophic engine failure.

That said, your problem may be your spark blowing out. With more air in the cylinders, there is more resistance across the spark plug gap. So you either need a stronger spark and/or less gap. You might try some platinum or iridium plugs. They have thinner tips which would reduce quenching, which in turn reduces the tendency for a spark to blow out.

he better hope his spark is blowing out. might be the only thing that saved his engine. get an fmu man and retard the timing. read the stickies at the top. and if you really need help bug the hell out of WD lol
