I Have A Question

My Drivers Window And Driver Side Rear Window Both Make A Weird Nose When I Try To Roll Them Down And Up.....The Driver Window Rolls Down About Half Way And Then wOnt Roll Back Up And The Rear Window Rolls Slightly Down And Stops But Does Roll Back Up.....Both Make The Grinding Noise.....Ive Replaced The Window Regulator On The Drivers Window But The Problem Still Occurs.....Do I Need A New Window Motor?

If I Do Need A Motor Ive Looked Into AutoZone And They Can Get One For My Window at $50, So I Go With This Or Look Around More?

Thanks In Advance

Well, did you try to open/close the window when you had everything apart after replacing the regulator ? You can look in through the door and see where the grinding noise is coming from.. Try that first..

I might pull off the door panel again and see where the grinding is coming from...

The grinding you hear is the window motor gear. Your old defective window regulator stripped some of the plastic teeth on the window motor gear.

The grinding you hear is the spot with the chewed-up/missing teeth. Mine did the same and I replaced the motors with some Autozone ones. That was about 2-3 years ago and they're still working fine.

Sorry for the delay on the reply.

If you've replaced the regulators, you know exactly what to do. You'll have to remove the regulator/motor combo. The motor is attached to the regulator by three phillips screws. Nothing to it.
