what should the apms and resistance of the alternator be reading on my muti voltage tester? im trying to find out if the alternator is going out.

If you need to replace your alternator go with either a new or remanufactured Nissan unit. Aftermarket ones are well known for causing all sort of electrical headaches. In all my years on this forum, I've only seen one owner successfully drive around with an aftermarket unit troublefree.
