:welcome: to NICO Dane!

I'm sure it can be done where they'll power on just about any way you want... the "usual" mod in the truck community seems to be that they'll come on with just the park lights instead of with the low beams. If you're good at reading electronic diagrams, you can check out the FSM (factory service manual) at www.nicoclub.com/FSM/ and it'll give you all of the info you need.

How can you admire them, considering that you cant see them while actually driving the car? Do you park the car in your driveway, turn them "on", pull up a chair and sit and actually watch them?

I know this is a common mod that maxima guys do, you should look what they do. I know it's not a very complicated mod.. I've considered doing it, but both my fog light bulbs are out so I just left it. It would be like having driving lights, I think it's a good idea..

If you need some specific help, I'd be glad to help but know it's not going to be a quick and easy thing, you're going to have to be somewhat crafty with wiring.

SAY WHAT? How in the world did you come to the conclusion that turning fog lamps on without the headlamps being on somehow changes the optics to go from a fog beam pattern to a driving lamp beam pattern?????

Do you even know what the definition and purpose of a "driving light" or a "fog lamp" ????? from the above comment,I would think not.

I actually think this actually has some value as a DRL. I think drivers are becomming accustomed to seeing cars with DRLs, and you're at a disadvantage without them - especially in certain paint colors. I've almost been plowed a couple of times in my silver Frontier. It's like I'm invisible, especially on cloudy days.

I replaced mine with Sylvania HID low beam assists. No longer available, but they had their own relay if one wanted to wire them that way with a RF remote.

The fog light brackets had to be modified to mount the HID units.

.......No I Ordered 3000k Hid Fog Lights And Typical Neighbor Hood Driving I Would Like To Run Just My Fog Light. Now I Would Assume That The Visibility Would Still Be That Of Running My High Or Low Beams....Im From New York There Lights Everywhere! So A Makeshift Setup Of Foglight DRLS Works For Me!
