Hey, I found that my car is throwing the knock sensor code. I have the plenum off, but It seems as the idler pulley up top is connected to the manifold. Is there anyway of getting the manifold off without taking the timing belt off? Any tips and tricks? Thanks

Once you have the upper plenum off, the rest is cake. To replace the knock sensor on the VG30 motor, you do NOT have to remove the timing belt.

You will need to remove the upper accessory belt. Then remove the large bracket for that belt up top. It is held in by 3 or so 12mm head bolts. Then you need to look close at the bottom portion of the top of the timing belt cover. You will see a little, and I mean little, 8mm head bolt that screws thought the timing belt cover and into the lower intake plenum. Once that is done, you can continue with the disassembly as most of the hard work is done.
