1995 Infiniti J30 BRAKE light staying on

Hi

I have a 1995 Infiniti J30t and my BRAKE light (not abs) is staying on and randomly will go off when I am driving, but then come right back on. It is on every time I crank my car. Also, when I start my car there is a quick screeching noise, almost sounds like the belt, but only makes this noise as soon as car cranks. Help please!

sounds like your alternator and belt are on the way out....get it tested asap!
The belt will squeal especially upon startup in cold weather!

I literally just replaced my alternator in September. Could it already be going bad again?

did you replace with Nissan made?
If it's an aftermarket, many of them fail right after replacement....they don't use quality replacement parts, or don't replace internal diodes....

Get it checked!

if you have a voltmeter, put it across the battery terminals and see if you're getting around 13.5-14.5 volts back when car is running and alternator is charging!
