1995 hardbody 4x4 2.4 throttle position sensor problem

Aright I did the suggested test from the pink to the black and green wire and show no voltage at with the ignition switch on . There is supposed to be 5 volts there . And if I check the white wire in the center of the connector I read 5 volts how is that possible when the white wire is supposed to be a ground? I would appreciate any feedback I can get on this problem thanks Kerry.

Are you using a service manual to follow the wires?

Yes and some of the wiring diagram in the manual doesn't match whats on the truck.

Ok my next question should have been my first question...what is wrong with the truck? Did you pull a code of some kind?
