1995 Hardbody 2.4L 4x4 5-Speed questions...

Hello all,

Newby here, but had Nissan's all my driving life. Just got a 1995 HB 2.4L 4x4 5-speed and the tach only works right about 80 percent of the time. The motor is on its way out and doesn't rev past 4500 RPM or so. So, is there a wire to check or? Also, the light is out on the A/C Heater control switch. Can I replace that? How does it come out of the dash? I couldn't get it out without fear of cracking it or something.

The light inside my AC switch has become a bit iffy too. I haven't gone to replace it yet. http://www.nicoclub/FSM (look under 95 Pathfinder), should get you pointed in the right direction.
