1995 G20 Tach Issue

After I've driven my car for about 15-20 minutes, the tach will start being bouncy when I let off the gas. At first I was afraid my engine was actually doing this RPM changing, but it was looked and and confirmed that the tach is off. I have an automatic so it's not a real issue, but it is annoying...any help would be appreciated.

Electromechanical gauges [especially speedo/tach] can develop intermittents..........usual fix is just to change them out. 8.5-9 years old.
