Hello everyone,
I have a 92 s13 I just bought recently and it has problem with battery drain so I checked everything and what I found so far the interior light fuse stay on ,multimeter read ( 12.23v) and all the doors closed and no key on the ignition and the trunk light it's off as well and I have the shift lock fuse also read (12.25v) and the car completely off , so what should I check ??? What else besides the interior lighting on the same fuse ? And by the way the car has a 5 speed swap so please guys help !!!!!!

Hey guys, this is my first post to this forum! (I have been lurking throughout my 240 experience though). I got my 240sx shell about three months ago, and just finished swapping another KA24 into it.
I have somewhat of an electrical problem... My battery keeps dying, and Im having terrible Idle problems.

Basically my battery drains extremely fast. (from 13v to 9.32 in about an hour of driving). I have checked my grounds, replaced my alternator, and lastly took a look at my fuse box...

Well it seems the previous owner decided it would be a great idea to remove the entire right side of it. :wtf2: So now i'm stuck trying to fix his mistakes.
I was just wondering if him removing the fuses, and directly bypassing them would cause my battery to drain so fast. Or if there is something else that would cause it to drain so fast.
(Sidenote: After checking with a multimeter, my battery actually loses voltage when I rev the engine)

Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I have to get this car completely up and running for Make-A-Wish in a few weeks.

Check which exactly fuses/relays are bypassed and why. I have seend some 240s with crazy wiring like aftermarket fans running power from the radio etc. As a mechanic i have also seen some crazy 'diy' wiring - eg fuel pump current gets lost between ignition key and relay so people connect the wire eg main relay to fuel pump relay causing alternator charge drain. Better disconnect all the bullsh*t wiring, attach a multimeter to +- and check what 'eats' the charge from alternator - that's how you'll find the problem.

Take out the fuse box and look what else is attached there. If nothing - rewire lighting to a new fuse - there is a short in the old wiring - probably wire isolation break, common for old nissans. I'm starting to experience that on my 96 too :[
