1995 Altima, oil leak by the lower timing chain cover, what all should i replace

Ka24DE 5spd 100,XXX miles wanna make sure i nab the problem while i have this all taken apart.If your looking at the engine from the passenger side, its leaking on the left side of the lower timing chin cover.Should i pull the upper and lower and regasket it? and what otherparts should i replace, the chain looks good.

If you're gonna pull the front cover, I'd just do the timing chain job regardless. You'll be doing it soon enough anyway.

Replace the following for sure if you're gonna just pull the front cover alone:

1. front crank seal2. the two o-rings that sit behind the front cover.

to remove the lower chain cover, I shouldnt have to remove the head... right?Accordint to haynes, to access the oil pump, i need to remove the cilynder head, but the oil pump is on the lower cover isnt it?

You don't have to pull the head. To pull the front cover at the block, you need to pull the front cover on the head though. It'll make the job of pulling the lower front cover much easier.
