My step-son bought an Altima GLE and the radio has never worked, won't even power up. We checked the fuses, pulled the radio and checked for power on terminals 6 and 10 on the connector. Terminal 6 is always hot and terminal 10 is hot when the key is in the ON or ACC position. I disassembled the radio and checked the voltage pass through on the bench from where the connector plugs in to the PCB on the front (controls) panel and it appears the power is getting all the way through. I can't figure out why the thing won't power up?!? Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Is the antenna hooked up and is the radio properly grounded.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, the antenna is hooked up and the radio is well grounded...I checked the locations where the case mounting screws hold the radio with a test light and there is a 'fer sure chassis ground. When I pulled the radio and separated the components (faceplate, cd player, cassette player) I noticed a bunch of the case screws had been removed previously and not replaced. When reassebmling the unit I put screws back in enough locations to be sure the upper and lower parts were well grounded. There is no illumination, no digital display, nada. I am stumped. Is there some way to bench test the radio that would tell me if it is DOA? Any help would be greatly appreciated...
