I just bought this 1995 convertible 300zx z32 na with a automatic transmission that doesnt shift. The car barely moves. I went and looked at it during lunch it started right up but giving it gas in any gear barely moves the car. Not sure what could be the cause. Here is a video of the car running https://photos.app.goo.gl/RhuD8zqRFXfAXvBn8

And the A/T in the Z32's is a real POS, well-known, commonly swapped upon death (EXTRA common) for a 5-speed at pretty much a reduced cost to replacing the A/T.
Consider yourself warned by the car itself to avoid it at all costs, unless bought for about $2,500 less than asking price to then allow an immediate 5-speed swap.

I bought the car for $750 wanting to initially swap the engine in to my current 94 2+0 ttop after performing a 120k timing belt service on it. The car hadnt been started in 5 months. I threw my battery from my old z in it and it started right up. after 15 min lifter tick pretty much disappeared. I am purchasing a 5speed manual with clutch master cylinder, clutch and flywheel that was from a jdm import to my understanding. getting it for 300. If I can find all the things necessary I might be able to knock this out in a weekend.

That sounds like a good plan!
Good Luck with finding the parts quickly, and getting it done...and the fsm will have some help there as hopefully you know.
