1995 240sx when you start car runs great,once warm wont rev over 3000 rpm

Ive owned this 240sx for 4 months and about 2 weeks ago i noticed a hesitation half way through a 50 mile drive.It wasnt real bad(only at 1500 rpm intermitantly) but when i stepped into the gas it wouldnt go over 3000 rpm. now when i start the car it runs with no problems til its warmed up then it wont rev over 3000 RPM.

might be a sensor on the transmission.. those s***s are known to cause problems.

why would a transmission sensor affect the motors abillity to rev above 3000 rpm and which one do i replace first?

Check your MAF sensor. If you unplug it, it won't rev past @ 2800. If it's bad, it does the same thing. I had the same issue with mine once.

i cleaned the maf allready. like i said when its running good (cool) it revs perfect and if i unplug the maf it wont rev over 2800 rpm then when i plug it back in the car dies . after its up to temp it wont rev over 3000 rpm and theres no diffrence when you disconnect and reconnect the maf.can a maf work intermittantly or could it be the temp sensor in the filter box?

the other day when i started the car, it didnt start (rev limiting)until the electric fan kicked on but today i went out to start it and the motor was running rough. when i got the car to idle i checked the maf, no difference when i unpluged it . so i need to know if a bad maf will work intermittantly before it goes out completely or else im leaning toward temp sensors. ive got a 91 240sx in my back yard in colorado(its a SUPER HICAS)i loved it so much i bought this 1 for hawaii but i forgot my 91 broke my broke my heart over and over. i guess thats what they mean by high matainence.i also have other problems, i need a power window amp and when i push the brakes the front park lights turn on . any advice is appreciated. thanks to everyone who replys to my post.
