1995 240sx : upper timing chain question

hi,i bought an aftermarket timing chain kit.the upper timing chain has only one mating mark. how can i align it on the punch marks on the camshaft sprockets and idler sprocket? my mistake is not marking it before i took it off.

Uh good question. I'd ask the place where you bought the chain kit from. Yet another reason to buy oem.

Here's a KA24DE timing chain chart from Jim Wolf Technologies. You can count the number of links between sprocket marks.

its possible your aftermarket chain does have 3 mating marks. However 2 of them are very simialar in color to the other chain links. They are only slightly darker where as the one that stands out is gold or silver in color.
