1995 240sx transmission filter.. how do i replace it?

I was told that my transmission filter needed to be replaced. Is this something I can do myself? If so, can someone please point me to a guide explaining how to do it?

It doesnt have a filter. It just has a screen in it. Generally they dont need to be fooled with they are not considered a servicable item. It can be cleaned with a parts cleaner. Or you can just replace it if you desire. It is located inside the trans pan bolted to the bottom of the valve body. Very messy job.
