1995 240sx: thermostat question...yes, i searched!

where is the thermostat located on a stock 1995 240sx and how hard is it to replace? i.e. availability, how long it takes to remove and repair, etc...PLEASE HELP!!!also...for some reason, my car wont start if the car is even a bit overheated. example: the needle on the temp gauge is just above the mid point between hot and cold...any1 know why this may be?

follow your lower radiator hose to a weird coolant elbow that's got a dome on it. Pull that domed coolant elbow and bam, you've found your thermo. If your engine is overheating and not starting...is the thing even cranking or does it not fire up?
