1995 240sx: strong fuel smell, misfire when deceleration, code 34

I've been trying to figure out what is going on with my car. When I drive around with the windows open the fuel smell is almost unbearable. The other issue is when decelerating in gear I get a lot of misfiring especially around 1.5-1k rpm. It doesn't seem like injectors seals are leaking on the intake. I haven't seen any other leaks when I checked the fuel lines. I checked the ECU and get code 34 which is the knock sensor but I've read that it might be caused by other issues that set off the knock sensor. The CEL is off. Replacing the O2 sensor and spark plugs didn't do anything to help with these issues. The car seems to drive around fine though, the engine doesn't do anything strange, car doesn't bog down, no misfire under acceleration. The only other thing is cruise control doesn't work, but I'm guessing that's completely unrelated. I've asked some people around and they've been saying it might be the TPS, but idle is smooth at 700rpm. Could it be a bad injector or tps and the ECU just doesn't throw a code or is it actually a bad knock sensor?
