I recently replaced my altenator and when I reconnected negative terminal to the battery I got noticed too much voltage going to the battery and blew my 100Amp fusible link. Replaced the fusible link and checked the alternator and wiring for any problems and nothing appeared unusual. Tried to hook the battery up agian and same issue. I also moved the black ground wire around on the back of the alternator and same issue as well. Any suggestions?

You must have B/R wire bolted to ground. Recheck connections on alt. If they are ok, then you may have something shorted in the alt. its self. Take alt. back and get another one.

Hey, I am having issues with my alternator last night I came home and the battery light stayed on and the brake light stayed on. I recently replaced the alternator but theres oil going on the alternator itself but im having trouble finding the oil leak when theres no oil hitting the ground? soo im kinda stumped

Check pcv lines under intake manifold. Also check pcv breather housing for a bad gasket.
