So, I just got off of work, and I hit the bank. Get back in the car, and the starter sounds kinda off, but it starts fine. I go, weird, I'll park it at home and try it again. I don't notice any problems with voltage drops, so I ruled out the alt/battery. The car gets parked, and I try and start it again. It sounds even slower, but it still starts. I go wtf, so I measure the battery voltage, which reads 12.7 (with car off). I start it a third time, to measure it with the car on, but...*click*. Crap.

Went out today to try it, and it barely cranked and started, the 2nd time I tried it, *clickclickclickclick* nothing.

So I'm thinking either the starter's gone, or the starter wire is messed. It can't be the solenoid right? Otherwise it'd be more sudden, I'd think. So yeah, what do you guys think? Help me out

Thanks!

Sounds like a battery cranking amp problem. You need to see what the voltage on the battery is while trying to crank the engine. If it clicks but your meter reads a solid 12volts you have a connection issue in the battery cables or a dieing starter. If your voltage hits the floor when you try to crank it you battery has a bad cell or is flat out of electorlite[water].
