Hello hoping to get some help because i am very bad with wires and i am at my wits end. My car recent sat for a couple of months awaiting a new trans. Ive since put it back on the road but now i have no music. The head unit is getting power and is sending power to the antenna/amp switch (i believe that's what its called) but the antenna is not triggering and i have no sound from any speaker via radio or CD player. Ive checked the fuse in the fuse block under drivers side dash and in the engine compartment both fuses marked audio are fine. Can someone please tell me what to look into next to try and fix this problem? Having your baby back after almost a year only to have to drive her with no tunes is torture.

There are actually 3 fuses #'s 8, 18, and 50 in the fuse block 7.5a, 10a, and 15a respectively. Give that a shot and if that doesn't fix it we can go from there.

Should be on the fuse box cover.

Ok i checked the fuse panel covers and couldn't find another fuse obviously marked for the audio system, so i yanked and checked them all. None are blown.

Time to download the FSM and start testing wires.

The wires im looking for and testing rly only involve the ones that power everything at this point correct? i mean i can ignore all the ones to run to the speakers and such. Im trying to get this sorted myself cuz i rly cant afford to take it somewhere but i am so bad with wires they have this weird ability to make my head swim lol. So just to clarify i need to identify and test all the wires that would be powering the amp and the antenna right?

Yeah. I would start with looking at the power antenna wiring because it is the simplest of the systems and it's most likely one problem that is affecting both of them.

Ok so i think the amp isn't getting power but the head unit is sending power. Does that mean a broken wire somewhere or is there a chance i missed a fuse or something?

The head unit sends turn on power, but the amp also has a direct battery connection. If either of those aren't getting there it won't turn on.

After messing with this for a month or more now (lost track) ive had some friends help me and still no solution. It turns out the Amp is getting its constant and switched power and so is the antenna tho the antenna on the on/off wire is only getting like 9.9 volts is that an issue? My father thinking he knows everything said headunit so he bought me a new one of those and still no cigar. This is rly frustrating so any more help would be appreciated.
