Hey guys, a couple of days ago my driver window had been getting stuck and making a weird cranking sound. I noticed if I pulled the window as well as used the button to raise it, it would eventually go up. So basically it needed help getting up.
A day or two later it stopped going up/down completely, lucky for me it was already up so now it wont come down.

I'm guessing the problem is with the motor and it will have to be replaced. I just wanted to know if any of you have had experience with this and wanted to know if I could get some advice as to where to go from here, like how to remove and replace the motor, and if anything else would have be changed as well.

Thanks.

If you haven't done so I'd do this checks first. First thing is do the simple checks. fuse and window regulator relay. Check for power- Key "on" position, check leads for 12 volts. Then make sure the window itself moves freely up & down with the motor unattached. At that time you should check the rack/sector if there is any sign of damage, wear, not being actuated by the motor. Then actually check the motor by jumping if possible.
