The car was bought with a bad lower ball joint on the front driver side wheel. I henced replaced it, and found that the bushing in the tension rod was also torn. Replaced that too. I also replaced the all the stock shocks and springs with AGX adjustables and TEIN S type springs. With every repair/upgrade, the car got smoother and smoother. However it still shakes violently at 70mph, and sometimes it does't shake at all. I've tried swapping wheels around to see if it was the wheel, but the shaking is still comes from the front driver side wheel. I've also noticed recently, there is excessive wear on the inside of that wheel.

Do I need an alignment, which is my next step anyways, or is there something else I should also check?

Thanks much

Try getting new tires that may solve your problem. Mine did the same because the tires were worn on the inside pretty badly. Either that or the car was wrecked and FUBAR'd the geometry which means it can't be fixed.

Check for play in the steering rack. The inner tierod socket may be wornout

Alignment is a requirement any time you replace suspension parts and it sounds like youve done a bunch.

Thanks for replies guys. I'll get an aligment right after I finish the transmission swap. I'll also look for any play in the suspension on that side while the car is being worked on.
