1995 240sx corner lens/running lights

I am about to go on a long road trip and before I do I need to replace my passengers side running light because it burnt out. Only problem being is that I can figure out how to get the corner lens out or the entire headlight for that matter. I would look in the repair manual but that doesnt talk specifically about my car and plus is doesnt say anything on removal ov headlights. From what I was told by a car shop I need to take off the fender and bumper. Is this true? Or is there any other way to get the corner lens off because cant go in from the back to just change it. They decided to put a little thin piece of metal behind the headlights and I would just change it otherwise.
